Ontario Network for Sustainable Energy Policy (ONSEP) Workshop 2026

The ONSEP annual workshop focuses on the analysis and evaluation of energy policies, with an aim of promoting understanding and discussion of effective approaches to decarbonizing energy systems and advancing broader sustainability objectives. The focus is on Ontario, but ONSEP also welcomes presentations that focus on the application of energy policies in other jurisdictions. The workshop is receptive to a wide range of perspectives and methods including but not limited to empirical research, theory development, energy systems modeling, law, policy, economics, sociology, planning, and experimental methods.

The workshop will take place May 4-6 at the Schulich School of Business, Executive Learning Centre, York University, in Toronto. The workshop will begin with a welcome dinner on Monday, May 4th, and conclude after lunch on Wednesday May 6th.

Registration Details

Registration fees, which includes attendance and meals are as follows:

• Students and Early Career Researchers*: $250
• Fully time faculty and established researchers and practitioners: $700
