About this Event

Mindful and compassionate leaders have a greater ability and readiness to focus and empathise. They connect more easily with people around them, building more effective and productive teams. Our Kind and Mindful Approach to Living (KAMAL) for Leaders Program has been intentionally developed to help leaders unlock their capacity to lead and support change and empower others.

This systematic training program will help you cultivate the skills of mindful and compassionate leadership. The course is highly transformational, highly experiential and interactive.

Course Leaders:

Avinash is an experienced mindfulness teacher and trainer who has successfully integrated mindfulness into the education sector. He has pioneered Mindfulness Initiatives at The University of Edinburgh, Napiers and Queen Margaret University for Leads, Staff and students, over the past ten years.

: Louise is the Director and Founder of Do-BeMindful and 300-hour yoga teacher, who will support the process of embodiment and physical wellbeing along with Avinash.

Program Format
  • 90-minute Introductory pre-Course Session
  • 8 weekly sessions of 120 minutes each delivered via Zoom
  • Experiential and interactive discussions
  • Support Materials
  • 20-30 minutes of regular home practice.

What will you learn?

As leaders, you will learn to manage yourself and others more effectively. You will learn methods that have been shown;

  • to build your capacities for focus and empathy;
  • to help manage your emotions and empathy for others,
  • to develop new perspectives and adapt to changing circumstances,
  • to become more aware of small changes in your thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations,
  • to disengage from trying to ‘fix’ things and repeated self-criticism,
  • to establish a personal mindfulness practice and extend this in both ordinary activities and stressful events.
