Online Agility in Leadership Workshop (CAL E) February 13-17, 2023

This unique workshop is designed specifically for senior leaders, agile/change transformation leaders and trainers and coaches. Our Agility in Leadership workshop is unique in the industry. It helps leaders see a clear path to effective leadership, where they are presently on said path, and how to pivot towards a more effective leadership profile.

Our goal is not to create great agile organizations. Rather, our goal is to improve organizational effectiveness by developing more adaptive leaders and organizations. The focus of this workshop is guided by the Agile Leadership Compass and is delivered across five distinct learning modules focused on developing agile leaders to foster healthy organizations and improve business outcomes.

The Leadership Compass

Agile organizations require agile leaders. Therefore, we focus first on developing new thinking and behaviors in the leaders who are then more capable of demonstrating the agile values and co-creating effective change within the organization - leading towards more resilient and effective organizations.

This workshop focuses on the top half of the compass: agile leadership thinking and behaviors and aligns to the Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) E Credential.

Through the six key modules illustrated below, we provide pragmatic and tangible practices for leaders to improve their focus, creativity, collaboration, adaptability, and influence.

Five 120-Minute (2 Hour) Online Sessions @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM ET (15:00 - 17:00 CET) from February 13-17, 2023-

1. Workshop Kickoff & Navigating Uncertainty: Navigate agility as a better risk-management strategy in complex, uncertain and rapidly changing environments.
2. Agile Leadership (Expert, Achiever & Catalyst): Identify your executive presence and bias, and a new journey to improve your leadership effectiveness.
3. Catalyst Leadership: Increase self-awareness, situational adaptability, and social effectiveness through enhanced leadership agility.
4. Catalyst Conversations and Feedback: Improve any dialogue or meeting through more co-creative and balanced engagements with others. Role-model giving and receiving effective feedback to increase status, creativity, autonomy, relatedness and fairness (SCARF).
5. Catalyst Habits and Next Steps: Challenge your biases and create new focus and behavior habits to be more strategic, influential and impactful within the organization. Take clear actions to improving your own leadership and the leadership of those under your care.

Combine this workshop with the (CAL O) to complete the compass.

This workshop follows the learning objectives and meets the credentials for Agile Leadership Journey Aware Leader Credentials and the Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL E) Credentials. CAL O is offered in the related Agility in Organizations Workshop.

Experienced Cohort Mentoring / Sharing

This class will not exceed 12 participants and often our classes run from 6-8 participants to foster a highly collaborative and safe space for engagement and discussion.

The class is facilitated by the founder of the Agile Leadership Journey, Pete Behrens, and is designed for experienced agile leaders seeking to enable broader organizational agility as well as trainers and coaches seeking to add a leadership curriculum into their portfolio. Thus, this cohort is designed for experienced agile leaders, trainers and coaches.

Visual Facilitation / Engagement

We build our online programs on Mural Collaboration platform, a powerful visual management and online learning platform to fully engage leaders in the learning process. Through structured module-based visual boards, leaders are provided the structure required for program learning clarity, personal engagement to connect to the learning and the visual connection to others learning in their same cohort.

Anyone joining this workshop, who later apply and are approved as an ALJ Guide, will be discounted $500 USD (IHDI pricing) back from this Agility in Leadership workshop and $500 USD (IHDI pricing) back from the Agility in Organizations workshop, for a total of $1,000 USD (IHDI pricing) off in becoming an ALJ Guide.

Pete Behrens guides leaders to transform themselves and their organizations toward agile ways of working and improved outcomes.

Pete Behrens is a Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) Educator, providing agile leadership awareness (CAL-E), agile organizational awareness (CAL-O) and leadership growth and development (CAL 2) for improved leadership competency and value delivery. He has been guiding agile leaders since 2011 and developed the CAL Program for the Scrum Alliance in 2016.

Pete is a Certified Leadership Agility 360 Coach providing awareness, education and guidance for increasing impact and agility. He was certified as a Changewise 360 Leadership Agility Coach in 2009.

Pete is a thought leader, Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) and and former Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) engaging with organizations to improve team alignment and delivery. Pete was certified as a CST in 2006 and developed the CEC Program for the Scrum Alliance in 2007.

Pete served on the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors, providing strategic consulting and guidance to transforming the world of work. He speaks at Agile Conferences, Scrum Gatherings, Leadership Events, and Local User Groups across the globe. He served from 2016-2018.

Pete heads up the Program and is actively building the leadership education and practice curriculum to develop the leaders of tomorrow.
