One Piece TCG: The Dominance of God OP18 Release Events
About this Event
-This is a sanctioned Bandai event, so each participant will need to have a Bandai TCG+ account membership in order to be registered. If you don't have one, you can create a free account here.
-ATTENTION: This event has a cap of 64 players. You must preregister in-store or through our Eventbrite page which includes payment. On the day of the event, you must check-in with staff who will scan your Bandai TCG+ barcode in order to enroll you. If you preregister, don't attend, and don't notify us, or notify us but we can't fill your spot in time before the event starts, you will not be refunded.
-Entry fee: $35.00, due at the time of registration.
-The format is Sealed. Each player will receive the following for participation:
- 4th Anniversary Tournament Pack (OP18)
- P-161 Monkey.D.Luffy promo
- 4th Anniversary Leader Card promo (6-color Monkey.D.Luffy)
- World United DON!! Cards (Usopp + Nami)
- 6 boosters of OP18 The Dominance of God
From the above contents players must build an exactly 40-card deck. Players should bring 10 of their own DON!! cards if possible and may ONLY use a Leader from this set or the provided 6-color Monkey.D.Luffy (the Leader card can come from the player's collection or can be provided as a proxy by tournament staff so long as it meets the criteria). Players can include as many copies of cards with the same card number as they like (there is no 4-card limit). Any cards left over from deck construction may be swapped with cards in the deck between rounds.
-The following special rules are used in Sealed tournament matches:
- In Sealed Format, players can ignore deck color requirements based on their leader. All other card text restrictions still apply as normal, including effects listed on leaders when specifying names or colors of cards.
-The tournament will use Swiss pairing structure, capped at 4 rounds max (3-8 players = 3 rounds, 9+ players = 4 rounds). Round 1 will start immediately after deck construction concludes. Each round will be a 35-minute best-of-one-game match. End-of-round procedure is an additional 5 minutes added to the game OR three additional full turns, whichever finishes first. If a game has not concluded by this point, the player with more cards in their Life Area wins. If this number is tied, the player with the higher deck count wins. If deck count is tied, the player that controls more Characters wins. If this number is tied, the player that last removed a card from their Life Area wins.
-Prizes are based on attendance and match wins, and awarded at the conclusion of the tournament as follows:
3 rounds
- 1st Place and another random player = P-110 Monkey.D.Luffy (Silver foil + Gold stamp) Winner promo card
- 3 wins = 5 booster packs
- 2 wins = 3 booster packs
- 1 win = 1 booster pack
- 0 wins = No additional prize
4 rounds
- 1st & 2nd Place (+3rd Place & 4th Place or two random players based on attendance) = P-110 Monkey.D.Luffy (Silver foil + Gold stamp) Winner promo card
- 4 wins = 8 booster packs
- 3 wins = 4 booster packs
- 2 wins = 2 booster packs
- 1 win = 1 booster pack
- 0 wins = No additional prize
