🌝Please Join us, Mayor Helfrich, and other community partners/organizers for a "Sleep Out" on December 12-13, in a national day of unity and remembrance.🌞
We will be located on the grounds of the Colonial Courthouse York PA 17401, from 7am to 7pm. Please bring your own chair or comfort apparatus. This "Sleep Out" is more than just a test of will and community building. This is the reality faced by many of our friends and neighbors in York, The creeping cold as the sun goes down leads to frigid nights, and while some have options of shelter, others do not and we at Friends & Neighbors are here to stand beside them through the best and worst of it.
Please consider weather and dress appropriately, bring extra layers that can be taken off if needed and hand/toe warmers. This is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) event, some will bring chairs, some mats, some cardboard structures. There will be speakers intermittently throughout the night and F&N will also provide coffee.
