Please join us for a DG Footlights™ reading of the full-length play One Night in Vienna by Domić. A talk back with the playwright will occur after the reading facilitated by DG Phoenix Ambassador Sally Jane Kerschen-Sheppard.
About the play...
A 16-year-old Orson Welles, after finishing a post-high school tour of Ireland travelling by donkey cart, wraps up his European jaunt in 1932 Vienna. He attends a dinner party hosted by a seductive woman and sits next to none other than Adolf Hitler. The three of them become entangled in a fantasy where Hitler is trapped in a series of character roles straight out of Welles filmography.

DG Footlights™ is a program, created and moderated by the Dramatists Guild, that connects dramatists with free space in which to hold a public reading of a new work that is currently in development. This initiative operates on a space-grant model: a representative from the Guild will arrange for a venue to donate space during allocated dates and times, and will ensure that the space is available for dramatists to use to present a self-produced reading to the public, with an optional feedback session following the reading.
Attendance is always free and open to all.
