One Man Standing returns to Smalls, bringing together three musicians from the Bangkok jazz and fusion scene for a stripped-back trio built around bass, piano and drums.
The group sits close to the wider Dikon circle, with bassist Matt Dickun and drummer Jonathan Galvin both connected to projects including HAI and earlier Bangkok jazz-funk collaborations. On piano is Paul Bebington, a Bangkok-based pianist and keyboardist who has also worked with Matt in other groove-oriented projects.
The result is a compact trio format with plenty of room for improvisation, rhythmic interplay and the kind of musical conversation that works best when there are only three players on stage.

🎸 Matt Dickun — Bass
Matt Dickun is a Bangkok bassist, composer and the driving force behind Dikon, the jazz-funk collective behind releases including One Man Standing, No Durian on the Train, CHAPO: Breaking Out, Poptet Vol. 1 and Proletariat Jazz.
His work moves between jazz, funk, fusion and concept-driven composition, with a long-running network of Bangkok musicians appearing across Dikon-related projects, including HAI, One Man Standing and Poptet.
🎹 Paul Bebington — Piano / Keys
Paul Bebington is a Bangkok-based pianist and keyboardist active across jazz and groove-based projects. He has worked with Matt Dickun in Y-NOT, placing him firmly in the same musical network that later fed into projects such as One Man Standing.
His Bangkok work has also included jazz and vocal settings, giving him a background that spans straight-ahead playing, accompaniment and funkier ensemble work.
🥁 Jonathan Galvin — Drums
Jonathan Galvin is a Bangkok-based drummer active across jazz, fusion and independent music. He has played in One Man Standing and 500 Miles High, the group that later became HAI, making him another recurring collaborator in the Dikon orbit.
Outside that scene, Jonathan also appears on the Bangkok-based Fever Fields album Love, Life and Tragic Comedy, showing the broader range of his playing across both improvisation-led music and more structured song-based material.
