Angelia Buford-Hayes - Circle Leader

Founder & Executive Director of One Life Innovative Solutions. She believes that harnessing the power of support and triumphing over life's challenges can drastically reshape your life's destiny. She brings over 27 years of dedicated service in the mental health field, where she translates her passion into action by advocating for and empowering individuals across various demographics including women and survivors of domestic violence, and the incarcerated

Veronica Leonard

Domestic violence survivor and dedicated advocate with over 20 years of leadership and community engagement experience. As a mayoral appointee on Mecklenburg County’s Domestic Violence Advisory Board, she helps shape local support systems. Veronica also leads community initiatives through Xylem’s Women’s Network and Watermark, working to create safer, stronger communities for women and families.

Ani Spand

Deeply committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence in reclaiming their strength and voice. With over 20 years of dance experience, Ani sees dance as a powerful form of healing—an expression that transcends words and helps individuals find freedom in their bodies and spirits. She believes that healing begins when we show up for each other with compassion and understanding. Through her passion for movement and connection, Ani inspires others to step into their power, one graceful movement at a time.

Alisa (L Boogie)

Charlotte native and member of Monroe, NC line dance group 'Sweet Union' Alisa believes music builds from soft to strong, reflecting the journey of reclaiming strength. No skill needed. She will guide attendees in a freeing moment to learn a new line dance from avid dancer. Let loose and reclaim your freedom!

Aliyah

Talented local vocalist and Charlotte native uses song for a powerful cause. With heartfelt lyrics and raw passion, she'll help honor survivors, raise awareness and inspire hope. Her performance will serve as a poniant reminder of the healing power of music and the importance of standing together against abuse.
