Queerly Beloved, After three unforgettable years, Opal Underground will be hosting its last dance on November 22nd. Reflecting on my journey as an actively involved producer, I’m filled with gratitude for the connections, friendships, and magical moments we’ve created together on these queer dance floors. We’ve built a space that celebrates the unique beauty and spirit of Portland.
As a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who has been part of Opal, I’m inviting you to join us for one final night of celebration. The event is FREE, taking place at White Owl Social Club from 9 pm to 2 am. The DJ lineup is stacked with familiar faces, including many beloved past Opal guests—you might even catch your favorite Portland DJ behind the decks!
The theme for this final celebration is 80's prom- think Dirty Dancing, Sixteen Candles, Carrie, get creative! What better way to reflect on the good times we've had and the bittersweet unknown than an all out blast from the past- pull out those old dresses or suits, raid the thrift stores, or just come as you are- theres no pressure. We've had the time of our lives- and we owe it all to you!
Let’s come together one last time to dance, celebrate, and honor the community that has made Opal so special. See you there!
