At the heart of One Dime Band is the duo of John Brauchler on guitars and Paul Gallucci: on vocals, harmonica, and guitar.
They have developed their unique sound and songwriting style by blending their Blues, R&B and Soul influences. They blew away the Distillery audience last January after winning the 2022 Boston Blues Society Blues Challenge in the solo/duo category just prior to representing Massachusetts at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. They followed that up in 2023, this time winning the Granite State Blues Society challenge and they’ve just returned from Memphis where they placed as semifinalists representing New Hampshire at the 2024 IBC!
Their return to our Dorchester refuge will be to celebrate the release of their 3rd album – “Side Hustle”. We have no doubt their new recording will receive the same critical acclaim their previous work has earned. Joining Paul and John for this special event will be a cast of great local musical talent including Paul Kochanski, Johnny Blue Horn, Mario Perrett, Ilana Katz Katz, Robin Hathaway, Holly Harris and Romeo Dubois. It’s going to be one exciting evening.
