One Day Women’s Retreat

Our main speaker will be Bethany Eyre. Bethany and her husband, Tom, began church planting and pastoring as newlyweds in 2006 when they pioneered Citizen Heights church in Washington, DC. After seven years, they returned to the west coast and led City Church Conejo for eight years. Bethany has been passionate about knowing Jesus, sharing the gospel, and raising up young leaders since she was fifteen years old. She loves mountain biking and making memories with her three children.

She will be speaking on how to reset your faith. How to let go of the stresses we face everyday: the worry, the anxiety, the ”what ifs“ and “if onlys“; and how to get back to living your life to the fullest, the way God intended us to live. The Bible teaches us all these things are useless and meaningless (Psalms 127:2, Ecclesiastes 2:22-23). We need to not let our hearts be troubled but pray about everything, tell God what you need, and thank Him so we can experience God’s perfect peace (John 14:27, Philippians 4:6-7).

Julie Brown has been leading Financial Peace University classes since 2009 and is a Certified Ramsey financial coach, author and speaker who helps families get busy doing life and finances beyond their wildest dreams.

She enjoys guiding people from a lack of financial clarity to a clear focus on how to gain the control they need with their money so they can experience peace, freedom and the ability to live the life of their dreams.

She will be speaking about the whys and hows to reset your finances through Financial Peace University. FPU is a nine week class that teaches you God’s ways of handling money. In the class you will learn how to pay off debt, save, and build wealth. You will also find out what type of insurance to buy, real estate investments and mortgages, and how to plan for retirement.

Our final speaking segment will be about a family reset. Bethany will come back and talk about ways we can help to reset our families in order to navigate the pitfalls and struggles of this world that try to pull us apart and tear us down. Things like social media, video games, TV, friends, topics taught at school, and other issues that are of this world and try to distract us from the plans God has for us. We need to refocus on God so we can stay on the straight and narrow path that leads to life and not the wide path to destruction. Things like daily/nightly family meetings and family devotions can help the family come together and reset their minds back on God and the things that really matter in this world.

Our worship and music will be led by Shalom Loreto. She was saved when she was 12 years old. She has been playing for the Lord for 4 years, and is a psychology student who attends Vanguard University.

• There will be sign in and registration from 8:00-9:00am
• A continental breakfast will be served during the registration hour
• Live worship will open the event to get our hearts and minds ready to receive the message God has planned
• No childcare will be available. Please do not bring any children to the event
• Please notify the event organizer if you are a nursing mother and want to attend this event
• A buffet style lunch will be provided during the event
