“One day in Józsefváros”

This is a first-time collaboration between Panel Literature Association and The Municipality of Józsefváros (Közösségi Részvételi Iroda - Józsefváros and Közösségeiért Nonprofit Zrt)

As a participant of The Neighbourhood Fest 2024 ''One Day in Józsefváros” offers a cultural and art program that aims to explore one of the most vivid and vastly developing neighborhoods in Budapest – Józsefváros.

The opening of the ''One Day in Józsefváros” will take place on September 13 at 6 pm.

It will include:

18:00 – the opening of the art exhibition that will feature works of Budapest artists both professional and amateur produced with different art means. All art works explore Józsefváros and its uniqueness.

19:00 – poetry readings about Józsefváros in English and Hungarian and poetry booklet release both produced by Budapest Poetry Collective.

On the next day September 14 Budapest-based contemporary artist Olga Lo will host an urban sketching workshop. Sketching is one of the ways to see beauty and explore new sides of the world. The participants will be able to learn the art of urban sketching to connect with fellow creatives and to discover a new hobby. The workshop will be open to adults no prior artistic experience needed. Materials will be provided by host. Time of the workshop and other details will follow soon.

During the opening period of the art exhibition we will host workshops literary readings and other events. Stay tuned and follow the event page for the updates.

Kesztyűgyár Közösségi Ház is a remarkable social and gallery space of Józsefváros that host lots of workshops social and cultural events open to public and meaningful for the citizens of the district and not only for them.
