One Common Thread - Serving Through Sewing
Advertisement
One Common Thread empowers women in Honduras, one hexagon at a time. Artisans there learn the craft of English Paper Piecing (EPP), and create crafts that are brought back to the states and sold in OCT's Online store.
Poverty is high in Honduras, and most of the women only have a 6th grade education. The proceeds from these crafts (and other donations) provide the money needed for items such as food, formula, diapers, beds, tin roofs, cement floors, refrigerators, stoves, tuition for their children's schooling and uniforms, and sometimes at their request, tuition for them to attend a trade school.
Come hear the inspiring story of how One Common Thread was created, and how crafting is supporting and empowering women in another part of the world!
Lectures at 10AM and 6:30PM (please note time change).
