About this Event
We invite you to an amazing community event hosted by GABRIELA South Bay and Long Beach Queers for Palestine. Our goal is to bring awareness to the issue of violence against women & children in Palestine & the Philippines. This will be a time to promote a culture of solidarity and resistance through creative art, dance, and music.
This event is commemorating One Billion Rising (OBR), the biggest global campaign and mass action to end violence against women (cisgender, transgender, and those who hold fluid identities) that are subject to gender-based violence. The theme this year is,
“Stop the attacks against women and children! Women of the world, rise for freedom!”
The event will be family friendly, consisting of various educational booths, cultural performances, and art activities.
At the door, there will be a suggested donation of $5-$20
No one will be turned away for lack of funds
Proceeds will go to Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) and GABRIELA South Bay.
