Overview: LEAN is a systematic methodology focused on eliminating waste and improving efficiency within processes by identifying and removing non-value-added activities, ultimately enhancing value from the customer's perspective. Originating from the Toyota Production System, LEAN principles are widely applicable across various industries to streamline operations and improve quality.
By adopting a Lean mindset, organizations can align their purpose with the employees involved in the processes.
Indeed, Lean principles transcend sector boundaries, offering process optimization benefits in manufacturing, service (Banking, IT, Maintenance of Assets & Vehicles), healthcare, nuclear, public service, and construction industries alike.
· LEAN Healthcare - Lean in healthcare enhances patient care and operational efficiency by eliminating waste.
· LEAN in Public Service- Lean implementation in public service enhances operational efficiency, improves service delivery, and maximizes resource utilization, ultimately leading to increased citizen satisfaction and better outcomes for the community as a whole.
· LEAN Manufacturing- LEAN methodologies revolutionize manufacturing by systematically eliminating waste, optimizing processes, and fostering continuous improvement, thereby enhancing productivity, quality, and profitability across all manufacturing sectors.
· LEAN Nuclear refurbishment and in Construction- Lean in construction improves project delivery by minimizing waste, enhancing productivity, and ensuring better resource utilization, leading to higher quality outcomes and increased customer satisfaction.
· LEAN Service (Banking and IT)- Lean implementation in the banking and IT sectors optimizes processes, reduces operational inefficiencies, and enhances customer experience by systematically eliminating waste and improving service delivery and productivity.
· LEAN Service (Maintenance of Assets & Vehicles)- Lean principles applied to asset maintenance optimize resource utilization, minimize downtime, and enhance reliability, ultimately improving operational efficiency and maximizing asset performance across industries.
Objective: Learn about “PROCESS MAPPING”, “TIME & MOTION STUDIES”, “VALUE”, “WASTE” & “KAIZEN”
PROCESS MAPPING: Micro process mapping is a detailed analysis technique used to visualize and document individual steps within a specific process, often focusing on a smaller scale or subset of activities to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
VALUE & WASTE: Every sector relies on various processes, process seps, and waste is inherent in each one. By understanding the concepts of "Value" and "Waste," you can identify and eliminate process steps that do not add value (also known as waste), from your processes, thereby improving efficiency and effectiveness across your entire organization.
TIME & MOTION STUDIES: A time and motion study is a systematic analysis technique used to measure the efficiency of work processes by observing and recording the time taken to perform each task
KAIZEN: Gain a comprehensive understanding of KAIZEN, denoting continuous improvement for positive change, and learn to implement KAIZEN initiatives daily, across all processes, to foster ongoing improvement throughout the organization
Who Should Attend: Open to all professionals, across all the sectors. Accessible to professionals across diverse sectors, KAIZEN embodies a universal approach to continuous improvement, promoting its application in all organizational domains for sustained enhancement and innovation.
