Goth, Wave, postpunk party in Amsterdam. Special guest: Martin Oldgoth is joining me on the decks this night. There are not many DJ's in the goth and dark alt scenes for whom the word 'infamous' can be used but martin oldgoth is one of them. Starting in 1985, over the years he has built a reputation that today sees him at the forefront of his field, and the DJ of choice for many special events. He still finds this hard to believe.

onderSTROOM is Holland's longest (in our 23nd year) still running oldschool wave/goth party dedicated to the originators and their present day following. We serve postpunk, batcave, deathrock, X-wave and gothrock, spiced up with punk, glam and appropriate alternative sidesteps. Playing both the classics and the new, overlooked and underplayed gems of the big black ghoul pool.
Every now and then an onderSTROOM dance-night will feature a live performance. Promising new acts have been brought to the stage, as well as bands who already earned their credits. In the past the likes of The Essence, The Other, New days Delay, Silent Runners, Gotterdammerung, Bloody dead & Sexy, Sleeping Children, Cadra Ash, All Gone Dead, Joy Disaster, Leisure Hive, Bragolin, Zwarte poezie and Fertile Reality have graced onderSTROOM with killer performances.
onderSTROOM contributes to the scene by promoting bands, booking concerts and generally spreading the word. Release parties, free give-aways, features on our websites and airplay on our parties are the means we throw in to achieve the end of keeping the oldschool genres alive. Dedication and love for the music is what fuels us. DIY is the phrase we hail.
