Learning Outcomes
- Define different cancer treatment modalities, indications and actions
- Discuss the basic pathophysiology of cancer & its causes
- Identify different types of central venous access device (CVADs) used commonly used in an oncology setting and outline key principles of use
- Summarise common adverse effects of chemotherapy and intervention/management
- Describe risk factors and nursing management of Febrile Neutropenic patients
- Discuss safety requirements and risk reduction of exposure to cytotoxic medications and waste
