Join us for an autumnal trek along the lakefront at South Shore Park, part of our 'Once Upon a Walk' series of audiobook strolls!
On October 19, we will meet at the entrance to South Shore Terrace at 11. From there, we will head south along the lake and loop around through the park before ending at South Shore Terrace (which opens at noon) for a well-earned beer. Along the way, walkers are encouraged to listen to their choice of audiobook, podcast, or music, or simply admire the beauty of nature!
New to Once Upon a Walk? Here are some things to know:
🚶‍♀️Walk at your own pace! Want to power walk? Great, take the lead! Want to leisurely stroll? See ya when you're done!
👟 Dress for comfort, as well as for the weather! Think: cushy shoes, layers, gloves and hats, sunscreen... you get it.
❄️ When the weather gets cold and snowy, rest assured we'll take equally scenic walks, but indoors!
🎧 BYO headphones and audiobook/podcast/playlist! You're welcome to listen to our book club pick for November, or anything else you choose!
🍻 Our walks will conclude with beer (duh) at a nearby location, though this is of course optional. Alternatively, feel free to skip the walk and head straight to the beer.
