Join us for Once Upon a Time in Nubian Square, an insightful walking tour and workshop exploring the African American history of Roxbury and the impact of Redlining and urban renewal on Nubian Square.

Led by Live Like a Local Tours, this event delves into the rich cultural legacy of Nubian Square, uncovering the resilience of its people and the stories of a community shaped by systemic challenges.

Redlining Workshop will he held at the Roxbury Public Library after the tour, led Afrimerican Academy's Marlon Solomon.

What to Expect:

• A guided walking tour through historic Nubian Square.
• A hands-on workshop on Redlining and urban renewal policies and their lasting effects.
• Engaging discussions on how we can advocate for equitable development today.

This event is part of Boston Redline 87: Black History Month Event Series and highlights this year’s theme: Development Without Displacement.
