Onam is the biggest and most vibrant festival of Kerala, India, celebrated with great joy and community spirit. It marks the annual return of the mythical King Mahabali, whose reign is remembered as a golden era of peace, prosperity, and equality. The festival typically spans ten days and reflects Kerala’s rich cultural heritage through traditional music, dance, art, and most famously — the Onam Sadhya.

The Onam Sadhya is a grand vegetarian feast featuring over 20 dishes served on a banana leaf, representing abundance, unity, and harmony with nature. From crispy banana chips and tangy pickles to creamy payasams and savory curries, the meal is a celebration in itself.
