This on the water training course will teach all the basic skills of power boat operations, including:- Pre-underway inspections
- Engine Controls
- Maneuvering & docking in a marina
- Open water operations, low & high speed
- Man Overboard Retrieval
- Handling in wind & waves
This 16 hour course is taught over a weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 8am – 5pm. The course is taught using the National Safe Boating Council Curriculum and is NASBLA approved. This course is limited to 5 students. Most of this course will be conducted on our 20’ Williard Marine Fast Rescue Boat. Upon completion of this course, the student will receive a course certificate.
Students must hold their valid California Boater Card in order to take this course, and BRING YOUR BOATER CARD to class.
