About this Event
Join the WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardener program for an On the Road Tour and leave the driving to us. Our first stop is Get To-Gather Farm which supplies farm grown produce, pumpkins and many local products. Farmer John will share his vision and passion for unique crops and show us how Get To-Gather is a place to connect with friends and nature.
Next, we head to nearby Good Year Farms, a nursery specializing in plants native to our region. Hannah and crew grow many of their own plants. They provide ecological education highlighting the benefits of landscaping with natives. GYF also hosts seasonal events in their unique barn!
Lunch on your own at Oak Tree Station Food Carts.
Our third stop is Nature’s Haven, an inspiring native plant nursery situated on 6 acres of Douglas Fir forest in northern Camas. The owner, Jen, will tell how she transformed her property into a true “Nature’s Haven” and teach us how to connect with native plants that support pollinating insects, birds, mammals, and even soil health. Thursday, Oct. 23 8:15am to 4:00pm. Vans depart on time! Cost: $35. Contact: [email protected] or (564) 397-5738.
