“On the Rise” Concert series - 'August 21st The Hill, Boulder, CO

Roots Music Project, a non-profit music community advocate, is thrilled to announce the On the Rise Concert Series. This series will honor Boulder’s past, present and future as a mecca for musical creativity and expression.

Three outdoor concerts will be held on The Hill on June 19th, July 17th, and August 21st. This free concert series is made possible by the generous support of the City of Boulder and other sponsors.

“The Star” symbolizes hope and renewal: the light at the end of the tunnel. For Lina Corrales, songwriting has been both the tunnel and the light. The Denver-born & based singer/songwriter, who started her career in an all-girl teen rock band before walking away from music for 8 years, has finally emerged on the other side. Lina’s music blends the dreamy escape of pop with the crude emotion and power of punk rock, voicing the disorientation of a generation coming of age in a culture that pulls you in a million opposing directions. Her debut EP is set to release spring 2025.

With its eclectic collection of underground bars, gallery jazz clubs and house stages, Denver is a city where musical innovators are born. Mitch Segura and Sam Gucwa are its latest, blending the sounds of indie rock, funk, and jazz to create music that blends energy and improvisation. In this new collaborative project, the band pushes further into rock elements and takes on the name ‘Experimental Brunch’.
