On the Record: A Century of Pop Hits!

The Graeme Francis Trio, featuring Jose Miguel Yamal on keys and David Craig on bass, will guide the audience through an exciting, interactive performance examining the overlap between jazz, America’s original art form, and popular songs we all know and love. Jazz was the popular music of the 30’s-50’s, when Doc’s Houston was known as the Tower Theatre, and over the years, it hosted a wide variety of musical acts.
