About this Event
Join us for the inaugural Works-in-Process evening at Woolly Mammoth Theatre, an illuminating night that offers a rare look into the creation of our newest work, Testimony. Composer Charlton Singleton and guest choreographer Christian Denice will discuss the development of the score and choreography, joined by dancers Crystal Serrano and Michael Mengden and our string quartet, who will perform excerpts and share insights into the rehearsal process.
Artistic Director Diane Coburn Bruning will also deconstruct two acclaimed works: Journey, a sculptural piece set to Barber’s iconic Adagio from the String Quartet No. 2, and selections from Time Has Come, set to music by Telemann and Scarlatti, performed by our dancers fresh from the studio.
Held in the intimate Woolly Mammoth Theatre, the evening blends deconstruction, demonstration, discussion, and performance, offering an opportunity to engage directly with the art and artists of Chamber Dance Project.
