This fall we are shining a light on the films based on the work of suspense writer & New Hope PA local, Patricia Highsmith. We continue this mini-film series with the 1951 Hitchcock classic STRANGERS ON A TRAIN. Tickets to the screening on 11/3 are available now at princetongardentheatre.org/specialsAbout the movie: A masterpiece of suspense with a large helping of guilt and anxiety, STRANGERS is Hitchcock at the top of his game. Robert Walker gives a mesmerizing performance as a peculiar man who meets tennis star Farley Granger on a train, where their seemingly casual banter turns to a discussion of strangers doing “exchange murders.” Amusing, but one of them is serious. Featuring a screenplay co-written by Raymond Chandler, based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith.
A few days after the screening on November 7th, join us online for a Deep Focus Seminar on the film led by BMFI Deputy Director Andrew Douglas. Register for the free zoom discussion at deepfocusfilm.org
