Join award winning food photography team DL Acken and Aurelia Louvet along with award winning photographer and restauranteur Scott Usheroff (@cravingcurator) as we take over his brand new restaurant — La Spada - Osteria Romana — to bring the world of restaurant and on-location food photography to you. This 5 hour workshop will delve deep into the 4 pillars of on-location food photography and leave you prepared for whatever lighting/composition/styling/interpersonal situations you come across. Together we'll explore:

* setting up your on location shoot for success and working with chefs in a restaurant setting

* styling food for camera vs. menu

* on-location lighting tips and tricks

* propping on the go

* making the food ultimately crave worthy!

Lunch will be served as we enter our 'round circle' space and take the time for Q&A. Spaces are limited so book early.

NOTE: Event will be taught in English but questions can be answered in French as well.

DANIELLE ACKEN is an award winning food photographer and writer with a photo style born in the late punk era and honed over two decades behind the lens and pen. She currently splits her time between Vancouver BC, London UK, and her farm studio on Canada's beautiful Salt Spring Island.

SCOTT USHEROFF, also known as Craving Curator, is an award winning photographer and the owner of La Spada restaurant in Montreal. A graduate of the prestigious ITHQ culinary school, Scott has expertly combined his passion for food with his talent behind the lens by capturing the vibrant essence of Montreal’s culinary scene. Scott’s dedication to both his craft and his restaurant has established him as a key figure in the city’s food and photography worlds.

AURELIA LOUVET is an award winning food stylist based who lives, works, and plays world-wide. Having eaten around the world, Aurelia is known for her evocative style that combines modern North American sensibility and classic European beauty.
