Mark Rine - The Nature Conservancy
Join the Overmountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited on Tuesday, July 21 at 6:00 PM for our monthly chapter meeting featuring guest speaker Mark Rine.
Mark Rine is a fisheries biologist and graduate researcher from Tennessee Tech University with a passion for restoring and protecting Appalachian freshwater systems. His research focuses on how fish respond to changes in stream flow and how science-based conservation strategies can improve aquatic ecosystem health and connectivity.
Mark will be discussing the conservation work he will be conducting in the Laurel Fork watershed over the next several years and how these efforts will benefit one of Northeast Tennessee’s most important coldwater fisheries.
We hope you’ll join us for an informative evening focused on conservation and the future of our local trout streams!
Dinner and social time begins at 6:00, the presentation begins at 7:00. We will be providing buffalo wings and cookies for attendees. If you’d prefer something different, food and drinks can be purchased at the deli line downstairs in Food City. Please note that external food is not permitted.
We hope to see everyone there!
