Welcome to the second edition of Ombembwa ya Semba (Dance of Semba in Umbundu) Intensive in Oakland, California!!!Expect engaging, dynamic drills and creative techniques to help you unlock your full potential on the dance floor. We’re here to give every dancer the tools to break free from limitations and tap into their unique rhythm and creativity.
After two hours of full-group training, we’ll split into leads and followers for a Banga & Ginga session, where we’ll refine hip movements, styling, footwork, and patterns.
3 Hours of Instruction
- 2 hours of lead/follow instruction
- 1 banga/ginga instruction
1 hour social to practice what you’ve learned
