The purpose of the Freedom Festival is to create an all-day FREE companion celebration event on June 19, 2021 to expand the existing morning Juneteenth Parade which has been taking place annually in North Omaha for several decades from 10am - noon. Several thousand people attend the parade each year. The Omaha Freedom Festival will provide for cultural and historical celebration in addition to education,entertainment and exposure to resources from noon to midnight at the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation located at 3448 Evans Street.
