Mantras are sacred sounds that can be composed of sentences, single words, or even single syllables. One of the oldest and most widely known sacred sound is OM. In this workshop we will explore the meaning and connotation of OM and its variations among diverse traditions. We will also discuss the four aspects of OM and delve into its origin and pronunciation based on the Mandukya Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita. We will then use our learning to participate in chanting practice.
This workshop is open to all levels of students. Join us to learn more about this sacred sound and connect to the deeper traditions of your practice.
