Having established himself within the Melbourne Jazz scene over the past 5 years Ollie Shute has performed with famed artists such as James Morrison, Dick Oatts, Mat Jodrell, Tony Gould and many more! With him recently completing his Bachelor of Music at the James Morrison Academy of Music he was awarded the recipient of the Performance in Excellence award in 2021. He has also been selected as the drummer for the 2022 Australian National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Ollie is continuing to carve out a diverse career as a creative and professional jazz musician/educator whilst remaining a lifelong learner and contributor to the jazz community.For their debut performance at Uptown Jazz Cafe, the Ollie Shute Quartet brings together a dynamic set of repertoire ranging from Bebop/Post Bop swingers to the rhythms of Cuba and Brazil and of course some new original music from Ollie himself!
