River Cleanup at Allan's Landing

Come join us for a day of cleaning up the Buffalo Bayou both on and off the water. More than 3,000 tons of debris enter the bayou each year. With the help of Prebiotic Soda, we will make an impact and intercept this trash before it ever ends up in the ocean.

Come for the cleanup and stay for the Olipop. We will be meeting at Allan's Landing Park by the Buffalo Bayou Partnership building at 9 am for check-in. After that, we will split into groups to clean up on land or on the water using Buffalo Bayou Partnership's pontoon and Bayou Vac boats!

Come join our cleanup crew for a chance to win a United by Blue made out of recycled plastic and stick around for free Olipop and food trucks after the cleanup. Environmental non-profits from the Houston area will be tabling to show how you can get more involved in their amazing efforts.

All cleanup gear (gloves, pickers, buckets, & trash bags) will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gloves if preferred. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes, and don't forget sun protection and rain gear (just in case! ☔️). Lastly, be sure to bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. ?A water cooler will be available for refills.
