This 2 Day course, starting Monday November 16, equips adults with knowledge, skills, & confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a friend, family member, or another adult aged 65+ experiencing a mental health problem or crisis

Event price of $210.00 (GST incl.) for 2 day course on Monday & Tuesday November 16 & 17, 2026 includes course materials, MHFA Learner Access Pass ($22 value) and take-home Older Person MHFA manual, catered morning tea and all day tea and coffee . For the first three purchasers of 2 tickets, there is bonus offer of 2 tickets for the price of 1. A single Early-Bird Ticket is also available until 28 September at $190.00 (GST incl.). There is also a concession price of $105.00 (GST incl.) for those on a pension or unemployed (this class of ticket available directly from [email protected]). To keep costs low participants are required to bring or purchase their own lunches (Marketown Shopping Centre is just a few minutes walk away).

Please arrive for Registration on Day 1 by 8:45 am. Course runs 9am-4.15 pm with refreshment breaks each day. Parking on site is payable to the hotel at $16 per day. Venue is easily accessible by Rail (10 minutes walk from Newcastle Interchange or 6 minutes walk from Honeysuckle Light Rail Stop).

Participants have the option of completing a short post-course assessment to be accredited as a Mental Health First Aider.

Through his business Worldview Consulting, Geoff Bowser delivers Standard, Older Person and Youth MHFA & The Working MInd courses to organisations as well as holding a small number of public courses. He is also a Consultant Instructor Trainer for MHFA ( Aust). Prior to commencing his psychology practice and training business, Geoff worked in the school education sector for more than three decades, the majority of this time In school leadership.
