Bolt Thrower Wargaming’s foray into The Old World!

A casual slow-grow, hosted both online, and in-person on the third Thursday of every month.
No entry fee required! Simply pick up your models, post on our Discord, and pay for your table hire as normal, and you’re in the slow grow
Prizes for Overall Winner and Fan Favourite Army.
Schedule:
Any time: Post your updates to the Old World channel on the Bolt Thrower Wargaming Discord for points each month.
17/09/26 - Milestone 1: 500pt showcase and Battle March learn-to-play.
15/10/26 - Milestone 2: 600pt showcase and Battle March game in-store (2 game goal).
19/11/26 - Milestone 3: 7000pt showcase and Battle March game in-store (2 game goal).
??/12/26 - Milestone 4: 1000pt showcase and final showdown game (details TBA).
You earn a Slow Grow Point for each of the following:
+1pt: Introduce yourself in the old-world channel on the BTW Discord and let everyone know which army you’ll be collecting (available once).
+1pt: Post a photo of a mini purchase for the Slow Grow in the old-world channel (available monthly)
+1pt: Post a photo of an assembled unit in the old-world channel (available monthly).
+1pt: Post a photo of a painted unit in the old-world channel (available monthly).
+1pt: Come to the in-store Milestone event (available monthly).
+1pt: Win a game at the in-store Milestone event (available monthly).
🧙 Legends are in!
🧙 Game 1 will be focused on meeting the other players and getting to know the rules.
🧙 First 3 games will be played using Battle March rules.
🧙Major prize will be awarded to the player with the most points across the Slow Grow, minor prize awarded to the player whose army is highest voted by the Bolt Thrower community.
🧙Use of minis from other Games Workshop systems like Age of Sigmar, Underworlds, Warcry, etc are encouraged. Even discontinued ranges like Warhammer Fantasy and Mordheim.
This casual slow grow is both emphatically casual, and emphatically slow! We’re focused on learning the rules, picking up some great minis, and getting a bit nostalgic with it. Even if all you can manage is picking your faction in the Discord and getting your hands on a single character, you should still feel encouraged to get involved.
