Their original brand of “liquid folk,” flows effortlessly between intricate acoustic compositions, vivid lyrics, infectious bass lines and harmonies that pull you right in. It’s like the sound of a late-night bluegrass jam session that evolved into something richer, layered with roots that run deep from Winfield, Kansas.
With live performances that blur the line between campfire coziness and full-on musical exploration, Old Sound turns acoustic music into something timeless, yet unexpected.

Described as "post-punk old-time acid jazz barn burning bluegrass fusion that will have you jumping," Front Porch independently released their first album "Shallow Grave" in the fall of 2023.
Gaining attention around the midwest and southeast with their energetic live shows, their performances highlight their skillful instrumentation, where foot stomping clawhammer banjo, ripping mandolin, guitar and fiddle melodies are at the forefront of their driving sound.
Front Porch won first place in the Pickin' on Picnic band contest in 2022, second place in the Rockygrass band contest in 2024, and were also nominated for bluegrass band of the year for the Arkansas CMA’s in 2024 and 2025.
