Old No. 50 Band: The Spirit of '76

As a warm-up to this year's Tons of Rock festival Old No. 50 Band will be celebrating the music year of 1976 by playing a bunch of songs released that very year, the day before it all breaks loose at Ekebergsletta.
All proceeds goes to this year's charity, which is Mental Helse Oslo. There will also be posters around the venue with QR-codes if you want to Vipps a bit extra, and we'll also post the number here in the event if you can't attend but still want to contribute.
This year's line-up:
Ashe Draven - Vocals (De Selskapssjuke, Draven & Lie)
Christian Lie - Guitar (Chris Cort, De Selskapssjuke, Draven & Lie)
Bjarne Torud - Bass (19/78, Dozärne, Sheik Arne, The Wheel)
Arve Barsnes - Guitar (Constipation, Forcefed Horsehead, Hjemlengsel)
Erik Lillehagen - Drums (Folket Bortafor Nordavinden, Gentle Groove)
Plus some yet-to-be-revealed guest artists.

A bit about the band:
Old No. 50 Band is the brainchild of Ashe Draven and Christian Lie, and the idea for this entire project came about some 7 years ago, when they realized that a lot of the music they loved started celebrating its 50th anniversaries. Having done several gigs with one-off band constellations doing various covers before, they decided this should be a yearly thing, where they would be the only two consistent members and the rest of the members being switched up year by year according to what was needed and who’d be available. After two years it also become pretty clear that Bjarne Torud would become a mainstay in the line-up. For each gig there would also be guest artists from other well renowned bands, with maybe a special attachment to what they’d be guesting on.
The gigs would celebrate either an album, a band, a tour or just a collection of songs that turn 50 that respective year, and the proceeds would go to a pre chosen charity.
The project got up and running in 2024, with a celebration of KISS' first two albums at Rock In, followed by a jukebox edition celebrating a collection of songs from 1975, which was held at Herr Nilsen due to Rock In's tumultuous 2025. This year Rock In is back in the hands of the right people, and so Old No. 50 Band are also coming home to rock your socks off!
