Formed in 2018, Old Main Drag takes its name from “The Old Main Drag,” the iconic song by Shane MacGowan. What began as a trio—banjo, accordion, and guitar—was rooted in the music of The Pogues and The Dubliners, capturing the raw energy and storytelling spirit of classic Irish pub songs.

As the band grew, so did its sound. Today, with accordion, guitar, fiddle, bass, and drums, Old Main Drag delivers a fuller, more powerful live experience. The expanded lineup has also broadened the repertoire, now including select songs by Flogging Molly alongside timeless Irish traditionals—always played with respect for their roots and the unmistakable energy of a great night in the pub
