About this Event
LOW ROLLER:
Low Roller is a hard hittin’ Honky Tonk band founded and fronted by Veronica Davila. Based in Brooklyn, Veronica and her band channel the spirited and rebellious attitude of classic Western Americana with a gritty, city sound. Low Roller fuses clever hooks, harmonies, and guitar melodies that draw on traditions of the Bakersfield Sound, Outlaw Country, and Southern Rock. Their highly anticipated new single, “I Don’t Like You” — a fiery and emphatic track comes out on November 14th. Drawing sonic inspiration from the groovy twang of Waylon Jennings and J.J. Cale, the song is bursting with guitar-driven energy of '70s Outlaw Country. At the heart of it all are Veronica Davila's commanding, blues-soaked vocals, proclaiming that love and confrontation go hand in hand — that the fire and friction of conflict spark deeper connection and passion, not drive it away.
RAMONA & THE HOLY SMOKES:
Based in Central Virginia and with family roots in South Texas, Ramona and the Holy Smokes represent a new generation of honky tonk music. With powerful female vocals that cover an emotional range from determined to comic to vulnerable and a talented backing band steeped in classic country and western styles of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, the band exhibits a “clarity and sincerity that bring Patsy Cline to mind” (Nashville Scene, 2025). Fronted by Ramona Martinez, whose songwriting has earned her recognition from Wide Open Country as one of the "15 Latino Artists Shaping Country Music," this Charlottesville, Virginia-based band is rooted in the traditional sounds of country music but unafraid of pushing boundaries and highlighting the connections across border cultures. They have appeared at several Americana festivals including Red Wing Roots (2024), Rooster Walk (2025), Bristol Rhythm & Roots (2025), and has opened for touring artists like Margo Cilker, Colby Acuff, Willi Carlisle, Redd Volkaert, Joshua Hedley, Donna the Buffalo, and Kashus Culpepper. Their self-produced debut album, Ramona and the Holy Smokes, a collection of original songs about heartache and resiliency, was released on September 26, 2025.
OLD LADY:
Old Lady is a honky-tonk rock & roll outfit from the Garden State. Their trio of songwriters-Collin J Rocker, Isaac Candelario, and Kailey Rocker-blossom out of a decade plus as one of the Northeast’s hardest working bands. Balancing a provocative and loose burn of an all night bender, with a sobering morning-after clarity and insight, their well tempered brand is the kind that leaves a mark. Backed by dynamic bassist Joe E. Nester and the sonic swirl of producer/organist Hunter Davidsohn, Old Lady offers a moving, well studied and essential spin on Americana Their third and most recent album, “Tears Around Last Call” is a smoky red-eyed affair, riddled with barstool blues. Cinematic melodrama, stimulant-fed chooglin’, and memory soaked serenades spill across pages of after-hour tales, finding a mature and provocative band leaning into eclectic intuition, navigating the here and now with heart in throat.
