Old Glory Unfolded: A History of the American FlagJoin the Troutdale Historical Society for an evening of stories, symbols, and star-spangled surprises as THS Director and local historian Chris Garza brings the American flag to life. From its Revolutionary War roots to the powerful national icon, we know today, this fast-paced and engaging program explores how the flag has evolved alongside the nation itself.
Chris Garza is a longtime collector and restorer of historic American flags with more than 35 years of hands-on experience, offering a rare, up-close perspective that blends history, craftsmanship, and unforgettable stories.
This special presentation is part of THS’s year-long celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, featuring events, exhibits, and good old American history all year long.
