Join us as we transform the Marion Women's Club property for an “Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social” 2–4 pm Sunday, July 19, thanks to a Marion County Foundation America 250 grant. Enjoy a scoop of Riverside Dairy ice cream for FREE!
Lawn activities include a dedication ceremony of the Club’s new flag pole U.S. Flag, badminton, burlap sack and egg & spoon races, hopscotch, and a Huber Mfg. Co. display. The historic home and Women’s History Resource Center will be open, while the Auditorium will feature a historic quilt display, and conversations with Mary Ellen Withrow, former U.S. Treasurer and longtime Women’s Club member. The Marion Concert Band and Marion Music Club will provide entertainment. Water, lemonade and “liber-tea” will be available.
The entire day is FREE and open to the public. Additional parking is available in the AgCredit lot adjacent to the Club, and behind DeWolfe Place.
