Old Car Festival
Hundreds of vehicles from the 1890s through 1932 arrive from across the country to be perfectly set in the place where American history comes alive. Old Car Festival in Greenfield Village is a rousing ride, epitomizing the earnest optimism of the American Dream from the turn of the century to the Great Depression.
Wander through the village to meet the owners who've passionately preserved these treasured machines. Watch drivers engage in games of skill, listen to the distinctive sounds of century-old vehicles, or sit back and enjoy expert insights while drivers motor through the Pass-in-Review parade. This weekend is your chance to become immersed in the moving stories of the early automotive era — a true automobile lover's dream, as electric-, steam- and gas-powered engines are constantly in motion around you.
Ragtime America and the Jazz Age come to life with two days of historically inspired street food, music, dancing and activities. Stay late Saturday evening for the Gaslight Parade of Cars, dancing with the River Raisin Ragtime Revue and a Dixieland-style parade.
CELEBRATING OLD CAR FESTIVAL’S 75TH ANNIVERSARY
In 1951, vintage vehicle owners gathered in Greenfield Village for the first time to relive motoring’s earliest days. Seventy-five years later, Old Car Festival remains an annual tradition for generations of automotive enthusiasts and is the longest-running antique automobile show in the United States. We celebrate Old Car Festival’s diamond anniversary in 2026 by honoring the people, traditions and motor vehicles that have defined this special event for three quarters of a century.
