Come HOP around Old Brooklyn!!
(NOTE: Location is Old Brooklyn, Pinwheel Gallery is just one of many stops!!)
Businesses in the Cleveland neighborhood of Old Brooklyn are putting their creativity front and center Friday, August 7th from 5pm-9pm during the Old Brooklyn Art Hop!
The annual Art Hop event highlights the growing creative sector in Old Brooklyn, that now has two dedicated art galleries, as well as multiple other area businesses that feature creative events and/or products in addition to their main business model. We want to bring new people into the neighborhood, as well as bring our Old Brooklyn neighbors together.
Both galleries, Pinwheel Gallery and Logo Creative Studio, are having opening receptions that evening, and a dozen other venues are planning art-related events. Some activities of note include: Miscreant and the Muse, recently relocated to Broadview Road, is hosting a printing party, and next door, Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick is having a closing reception for their featured artist. Ben Franklin Community Gardens is hosting a mini art fair with live music in their gathering space with multiple gardeners who are also artists.
This year each of the venues will be providing Art Hoppers with a Mini Art Print specific to their venue – like a popular trading card game, but with art prints instead of trading cards. Participants can get the whole 2026 collection by visiting all the venues.
All of the participating venues will also have a section of what will come together to create a modular mural for Art Hoppers to help paint during the evening. The finished mural will be assembled and displayed on Broadview Road during Old Brooklyn Streetfest.
The participating Hop Stops want to encourage neighborhood residents as well as people throughout Cleveland to come see what these businesses, and what Old Brooklyn has to offer.
