The City of Port St. Lucie and Parks & Recreation, along with the German American Club, will host the annual Oktoberfest celebration from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at McChesney Park, 1585 SW Cashmere Blvd.Enjoy beer, bratwurst, schnitzel, pretzels and more and dance to traditional German music with a little flair by from DeLeon Oktoberfest Band! There will be German dancers, a traditional keg-tapping and a flag ceremony.
The Wiener Dog Race is back for its fifth anniversary, and begins at 6 p.m.! The racetrack is 20 meters long and all entrants must be dachshunds. The Wiener Dog Race is sponsored by Banfield Pet Hospital.
