Experience some traditional Oktoberfest fun with a modern twist in City Centre! Main Street will be closed to make way for an outdoor Huskers vs. Purdue football watch party on the big screen at 11 a.m., live music, games and activities, food trucks and a beer garden, of course.Festival themed fun includes an Oktoberfest Best Dressed Contest at 6 p.m., a beer stein holding contest at 6 p.m., a pretzel tossing game and cornhole for good measure.
Local bands include:
• Evans & Moore 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Kenny Janak Orchestra 2:30-5:30 p.m.
• Funk Trek 7-9 p.m.
Autographs and photos with Omaha Supernovas 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Free entry. Food and beverage (including traditional Oktoberfest fare such as bratwurst and sauerkraut) available for purchase.
Families/all ages are welcome, but you must be 21 or older to consume alcohol.
