Gentle guests, Herzlich Willkommen to another rare Marzen season. Fifteen years ago this September 21st our Bierhalle’s humble owner threw his first Oktoberfest. This year marks our creative teams Fifteenth annual event in a true, year round Bavarian/Franconian Bier Hall and Garten. Our event is 100% independently produced, curated, funded, DJ’d, and emceed with love and passion from a private group of like-minded brethren. Before bar folk wore suspenders, donned beards, and bemoaned old fashions... they drank competitively, threw and rolled kegs, and imbibed their first three liters of beer for the day without purging. Jason threw his first Oktoberfest at TSI Discotheque back in 2009 when the only other events in town were European Street and Schnitzelhouse respectively. Today, Jacksonville's fandom of Munich’s Wiesen culture goes 35+ venues deep in Oktober alone, so amongst those in the know, this is the event of the season not to miss. Our little Biergarten is an intimate setting with only authentic Bavarian Bier and Cuisine. The Buchner Bierhalle tradition stretches back over two hundred years in Northern Bavaria including the Weiße Hirsch (1822) Eichstätt. and Lichtenhofer Bierhalle (1886) Nürnberg. Year in and year out we pride ourselves on bringing our unique brand of gemutlichkeit including music, beer and cuisine paired with our exemplary service and dining atmosphere.

King Larry and the Polka Paupers. Formed in the winter of 2022 at the behest of the Bierhalle the band is staffed by the many talented Classical, Jazz & Folk musicians that grace our stage every week of the year since we opened.
Saturday 21st
1PM Ceremonial Keg Tapping. The honorable Grand Mayor Jason Grimes Buchner has returned from Nürnberg just in time to lay the wooden hammer to the brass tap.
This year the ceremonial keg, flown in from Munchen is always a crowd pleaser.
Traditionally Oktoberfest begins with the ceremonial tapping of the first keg. Cue up for a free taste of this special opening ceremony Paulaner Marzen.
Sunday 29th
6PM 2nd annual Tuba Fest. Professor Larry Velasquez, our onetime sous chef and band leader extraordinaire leads this wacky ensemble. A cornucopia of tubas and German Barytons unleashes a wave of Herzogian worthy Bavarian marching music.
Saturday 5th
12PM guest Mayor Christian Dechert and his Franconian delegation arrive from Germany•These jovial Germans will be offering up a masterclass of Beer drinking culture, etiquette and the art of the Festival.
Sunday 6th
4PM Bierfest. Bierfest 4 man teams compete in games of skill & thirst.
Sunday 13th
4PM masskrugstemmen finals. The 4 weekend winners & the 4th overall best time are pitted against the reigning champions.
Reservations are not required but preferred.
