Welcome to one of the 2021 Sew Magical Expo guest-led events! Rules/How it Works:
The votes are in and we are going to run this as a "Dirty Santa" exchange with each person making whichever bag they like from all the YouTube videos on the OklaRoots YouTube channel.
Please wrap the bag or put it in a gift bag so it can't be seen. It would be great if it was wrapped in something sewing related, like wrapped in a piece of cloth, or if the wrapping has a sewing/crafting theme.
1) Each person comes in and places their exchange on a table and are assigned a number
2) When everyone is there, and has a number, we will put slips of paper in a hat and draw out a number
3) The person who has that number can go to the table and choose one of the exchanges. At this time you can open the exchange and show it around.
4) The next number is drawn. That person has the choice to choose from the table, or to "steal" from the person who has already chosen. If the second person "steals" from the first person, then the first person gets to go back to the table and choose again. The exchange goes to the next person, but the wrapping stays with the person who opened it first.
5) The third person can choose from the table, or "steal" from either of the first two. This continues until each number has been drawn and each person has an exchange.
6) Each bag/pouch/etc. can only be in the possession of three people. The third person who has possession of that exchange gets to keep it and it cannot be "stolen" from them. (with one exception explained below)
7) When the last person has gotten their exchange, then we will go back to the first person and let them have a chance to "steal" any of the exchanges that haven't been touched three times.
? Then comes the "grand prize"! We will put all the numbers back into the bag and the number drawn will have one chance to "steal" ANY exchange whether it has been touched three times or not.
I hope that clears it up. It can be a fun game if everyone gets into the spirit of the thing.
