DURANT, OK – Jake Merrick, 2026 candidate for Oklahoma Governor and host of The Jake Merrick Show, today announced an upcoming “Oklahoma Rising” event designed to bring a powerful message of hope to the Sooner State.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM at Freedom Acres Farms located at 2652 Old Highway 70, Durant, OK. This gathering invites Oklahomans to unite in faith and vision for a brighter future. “As a pastor, former senator, and father, I’ve seen the resilience of our communities, and I believe God is calling us to rise together and take responsibility for the future of our state,” Merrick said. “This event is about inspiring hope and encouraging activation of the people who rely on God, not government, for the prosperity and protection of our families, our schools, and our land.”
Known for his grassroots approach, Merrick will outline his platform priorities, including DHS reform, improving education, and protecting children, while encouraging attendees to join the movement he is building for the 2026 election.
The October 11 event follows Merrick’s successful Oklahoma Rising gathering on September 7 and his recent town halls across the state. With free admission, a “fittest farmer” competition, prizes and a call for community participation, Merrick urges Oklahomans to attend and echoes the words of Samuel Adams:
“It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.”
