Speaker Information: Ms. Logsdon oversees a staff of seven focused on economic development and access to capital in Indian Country. Her expertise is in loan servicing, internal systems management, reporting and relationships with funding entities, as well as managing the day-to-day management for the organization. Ms. Logsdon came to the Citizen Potawatomi Nation in 2003 after a 15-year career in banking. She has assisted in making hundreds of millions in loans to Native American entrepreneurs and has assisted in raising millions in capital for the organization. She has laid the groundwork for introducing multiple products to her tribal community, such as an Employee Loan program, Financial Education Initiatives, Credit Builder Loan, Jumpstart Auto Loan, Potawatomi Business Network, Housing loan, Ag lending and IDA programs.
What is SSBCI? The State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) is a U.S. Treasury program that provides capital and technical assistance to support small businesses. SSBCI has opened new doors for tribes — putting flexible capital directly in our hands to support Native businesses, tribal enterprises, and local economies.
