Still life is not boring, it’s so much more than lemons in a fruit bowl! Although it certainly can be lemons if you want. In this still life painting workshop, you’ll learn to blend traditional techniques with contemporary flair. Explore the richness and depth gained through oil painting. Hone your skills in composition, light, and colour, guided by our expert artist tutor Zarahn.
Join us for two days and create a stunning oil painting from direct observation of carefully curated still life arrangements. Explore the nuances of sketching and composition, mastering the subtle interplay of light and shadow to breathe life into your canvas.
Gain a better understanding into the subtle complexities of the still life genre, deepening your perception of tone and colour. Elevate your skills as you learn to fill your paintings with depth and dimension, capturing the essence of your subjects with precision.
You will be given personalized guidance and feedback as you refine your techniques. Lots of one-on-one help and live demonstrations through this Still Life Oil Painting workshop. While a variety of still life objects will be provided, feel encouraged to bring your own selection, from elegant cups to vibrant flowers, infusing your artwork with a unique perspective.
